The 2005 Reg. D title game was their 1st meeting in 10 years - Haysi won 17-14.
So, in the last 15 years, they're 2-2.

Since '85 they've met 7 times.

'85 27-14 PV
'90 36-17 PV
'91 19-12 Haysi
'93 14-12 Haysi
'94 PV won by like 30.
'95 PV " " " "
'05 17-14 Haysi

All 4 times that PV beat Haysi they went on to win the state championship. All 3 times that Haysi beat PV were region D championship years.

What kind of team should we expect from Haysi this year? Is Colley still planning to retire in 09?

They'll be in the running with honaker for the BDD title. 8-2 to 7-3 most likely.

Switching teams again ...

Looks like Volunteer might also have had some problems getting games this year - I just saw a 2nd OoS game for them - at Bell Co. on 9/29

I can't find any pre-season info on them from last year, and the playoff previews didn't mention what formations they used.

In the last couple of years, I think Haysi and Norton has played, but I can't remember who won. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE?

They have the same staff as last year...and last year they spread out alot on offense...and on d they ran 4-4 and 3-5 most of the time...that bein said, by the results, they didn't do it very well.

Sullivan North does not spread it out. They run the Double Wing behind a typically huge o-line. On D they run the 3-3-5 via Georgia Military (never saw them in a 4-4). They play a lot of kids both ways and down the stretch last year they had a ton of injuries and missed the playoffs by one game. They play up 2 classifications in 4A ball.
